TITLE challengers Bocking and Bingley Town met head-to-head in a titanic battle last weekend.

Bocking powered into the attack and had the Bingley defence under pressure for long periods, but the first half ended without a goal being scored.

Bingley fought their way more into the game in the second period, but Bocking were still creating most of the chances. With their first shot on target, from Stuart Hinds, Bingley hit the back of the net, but Bocking continued to apply pressure and drew level with a Mark Labbett goal.

Bingley's resolute defence held firm to earn a share of the points under increasing pressure.

The points were also shared in the game between Old Sun/Oaklee and the New Variety Club after the Sun produced an incredible fight back. With just five minutes to go the Variety Club held a 3-1 lead and looked to have all three points in the bag.

Sun hit back with two late goals to secure a 3-3 draw. New Variety's scorers were Johnny Lawrence, Brian Hutchinson and John Baker.

Shoulder and Wilsden Villagers also saw the points shared in their 1-1 draw. Wilsden opened the scoring before Dave Harman hit back to give Shoulder a share of the points, but their manager was less than pleased with his side's performance.

Albert continued their improving form with yet another drawn game, after coming back against Silsden Athletic. They were 2-0 down wi6th 15 minutes to go, but a flurry of goalmouth action saw the game end in a draw. Albert's goals were scored by Richard Borsay and Sam Overend with Richard Duxley their man of the match.

Fleece took revenge on BCA Utd after suffering an 8-2 defeat earlier in the season. This time they hard their plan worked out in advance, and they commanded most of the game.

They were totally in control for the first 25 minutes and their efforts were rewarded with three impressive goals. They could have had more, but their centre forward missed a sitter from two yards out.

Once they had secured the healthy lead Fleece became complacent and allowed BCA the space to put their extra pace to work and they replied with two quick goals and shortly after the break they scored again to draw level.

Fleece clicked back into gear and scored three more goals to secure a 6-3 victory. Both teams played good football and there was also an excellent performance from referee A Bentham. Michael Bussfield was Fleece's man of the match and goals were scored by Bussfield (2), Poole (2), Skayman and Robinson. Scorers for BCA were Joynal Ali, Faruk Ali and Abid Hussain.
