The Bradford Sunday Alliance Senior Cup final will be between holders Albion Sports and Oakenshaw after the two sides overcame first-half hiccups in the semi-finals at Apperley Bridge.

Leading from Jason Thornton's early goal, Oakenshaw should have extended their lead but Jason's brother Tim couldn't convert two chances within seconds of each other.

Holme Wood then got their break when a disputed penalty was converted by Andy Moulden.

Almost immediately Terry Oddy raced through to lob Holme Wood's second goal. Oakenshaw turned it round in the second half when the Holme Wood keeper couldn't hold Richard Waters' header from Craig Lawford's corner and, like Holme Wood did in the first half, Oakenshaw then scored again almost immediately through Dean Worrall to go through 3-2.

A defence-splitting pass saw Greg Watts run through to give Fairweather Green a first-half lead against Albion Sports.

After the interval, the cup holders upped the tempo and in a demonstration of quality finishing Stefan Zoll and Gary Shaw booked Albion's place in the final.

Calverley Victoria edged another three points nearer to Premier survival when Glyn Tula's second-half effort proved to be the only goal of the game against fellow strugglers Queens Athletic.

Bradford Moor's goals against tally reached 99 as Queensbury became the latest club to put a nail in their survival coffin.

A rare scorer on the sheet was Kevin Hume who enjoyed a forward role after coming on for two-goal Mick Naylor in a 6-2 victory.

Bolton Woods are back on top of the division after a 3-0 win over East Ward. Leading from Paul Bulgin's header in the first half, Woods wrapped up the points through Jimmy Spencer and Derek Rowse. There is no change at the foot of the First Division as two of the three bottom clubs, Undercliffe CC and Stanley Road, battled out a 0-0 draw.

A better second-half performance saw Queensbury Reserves move seven points clear of the bottom three with a 4-1 win over Hare & Hounds, youngster Neil Jones scoring twice.

Wibsey WMC, having beaten Pudsey Royal before Christmas, couldn't repeat the feat in the return game. Scoreless at half-time, Wibsey led twice with Pudsey equalising within two minutes on both occasions before scrambling a 3-2 win. The result leaves Pudsey a point and a game in hand behind joint leaders Holme Wood Athletic and West Bowling.

The Division 1A promotion race took another turn after second-placed Waggoners, with goals from Craig Ryecroft and Steve Smith, halted the run of Shoulder of Mutton, who had climbed to third. A goal in the last ten minutes from Shoulder did give Waggoners late nerves but the Buttershaw club hung on and the three points takes them back above Clayton Orient at the top of the division.

While dogged defending earned Move It Removals a point in a 0-0 draw at Idle, Victoria Rangers are only a win away from avoiding the drop after a 3-0 win over Hudsons.

Red Lion eased their relegation fears with a 2-0 win at Wibsey WMC Reserves where Phil Clapham scored in each half and Ian Fearnley was successful from the spot.
