A Bradford mum-to-be turned midwife when her son made a surprise early entrance into the world.
Enika John went into labour at her home in Odsal and had only 15 minutes until her baby was born.
She dialled 999 and ambulance control operator Caroline Bradley talked her through the procedure.
Enika, 31, pictured with baby Kai and Caroline, said she had felt some movement soon after her partner Emile Peltier had left their house to go to work in Halifax.
"Before I knew it, I felt an almighty urge to push," she said. "I dialled 999 and I was put through to Caroline.
"I felt the head and that is when I realised. I had the phone in one hand and I was clutching on to the bed with the other and he came out and started crying," she said.
Baby Kai arrived almost three weeks early in the bedroom of their home on Rooley Lane weighing 7lbs 5oz and she wrapped him in a coat to keep him warm.
But the house was locked with the ambulance crews outside so, against advice, with the baby still attached by its umbilical cord Enika threw the keys down to let them in.
