A terrified pensioner was attacked in her own home by two robbers who escaped with cash from her handbag.
The 76-year-old woman suffered grazes, bruising and severe shock in the assault which happened as she stepped out of her flat in the Norwood Avenue area of Shipley Fields, Shipley, at about 3pm yesterday.
A police spokesman said that as the pensioner walked out of the front door, two men shoved her back inside and attacked her.
"The men managed to steal an amount of cash from her handbag before leaving," said a police spokesman.
He added: "The victim suffered minor bruising and grazing and severe shock."
Acting Detective Inspector Jeff Ashton, of Keighley CID, said: "This was an extremely nasty and frightening experience for a 76-year-old lady in her own home.
"We are appealing for witnesses to come forward to identify these attackers."
Both were Asian, slim and in their early 20s. One was about 5ft 8ins tall and the other was 5ft 10ins.
