Singer Suzanna Dee is hoping for some heavenly help from the people of Bradford to help her race up the charts.

Suzanna, 26, left, originally of Denholme, scored her first single success this week when her song Show Me Heaven entered the charts at number 36.

And now the singer is hoping that the record-buying public of Bradford will help push it into the top ten in Sunday's chart rundown.

Suzanna, who until recently worked as a receptionist at Lynfield Mount Hospital, said she was delighted when she first heard the song on the radio and ecstatic when she saw it enter the charts. Although she has sung backing vocals on huge hits by artists such S Club Seven and The Spice Girls, Show Me Heaven is her first solo success.

She said: "When I first heard it on the radio I felt wow that's me! I just couldn't believe it.

"It's been my passion and ambition to be a singer all my life so to get into the charts is just the culmination of everything I've worked for.

"I hope its going to go higher in the charts but you never know in this business, we've got our fingers crossed. We're hoping people will go out and buy it on Saturday to get it higher in Sunday's charts."
