The head of West Yorkshire's Ripper Murder Squad today spoke of his new job and revealed that any future prostitute murders would be investigated by senior detectives in the area concerned. Det. Chief Supt. John Domaille, a former head of Bradford area CID, is to lead the 12-man squad based at Leeds. He said: "The team I have been asked to set up will look at everything that has been done so far in this series of murders".

"Don't forget the Regular soldier," urged Major Alan Simpson, public relations officer, Northern Command, speaking to Bradford Publicity Association at the Midland Hotel last night. "When we hear of British troops being moved to this or that trouble spot it is well to realise that many of these soldiers are young National Servicemen who probably did not wish to make the Army a career, but have a stint of service to do and do it well. However, the backbone of any sound unit is its Regular content. Fully trained, full time soldiers give a stiffening to its formation," he said.
