Odsal Sedbergh won the Pennine League Division Two championship title in fine style with a sparkling 52-0 success over visitors Silsden Park Rangers.

Sedbergh stand-off Gavin Buckley was in majestic form scoring four touchdowns and centre Steve Brown powered in for two long-range efforts.

Wingman Simon Knowles and loose forward Bob Chapman also crossed and industrious full back Shaun Flynn collected a try and kicked eight goals.

Rangers' prop Martin Fryers tried manfully to stem the tide as Sedbergh once again topped their 40-point scoring average to secure the title.

Birkenshaw went top of the Pennine Premier Division following a 28-8 home win over Lindley Swifts.

Birky led 10-2 at the break thanks to two tries from wingman Jim Ignaciuk and centre Dave Turpin.

Clayton produced something of a mixed performance in their 28-22 success at Keighley Town but clinical finishing from Ian Jackson, Craig Pickthall, Chris Parkinson and Adam Bairstow (2) won the day.

Victoria Rangers have not given up on promotion and reinforced the point with a 35-12 home win over Halifax Irish.
