The old and the young, the devout and the not-so-sures, all joined in a Methodist special "Walking Day" to celebrate the Keighley Chapel's centenary. And as they followed the Salvation Army Band, Scouts, Guides and scholars around the Fell Lane district of Keighley, memories came flooding back of when walking days were an annual Whitsuntide treat and not just a nostalgic event.

New Bradford Park Avenue manager, Norman Kirkman (writes "Wanderer") has effected his first professional signing for the club, and the player concerned fills the same position - left back - as he himself occupied during his playing career.
The new arrival is James Stainton, who has been signed as a part-time professional after having attracted a number of big clubs by his displays in the Yorkshire League with Hallam, the Sheffield amateur club.
