TOP trials biker Boyd Webster has suffered a major setback in his bid for national glory.
For the 22-year-old, who is currently 17th in the Hare and Hounds Championship, has had his bike stolen for the second time.
Thieves broke into a garage at his home in Gargrave Road, Skipton, in the early hours of Sunday morning, and fled with his Honda CR2 motocross bike.
"I am gutted. I can't believe it has happened for a second time," said Boyd, who is studying quantity surveying at Leeds Metropolitan University.
The theft couldn't have come at a worst time as Boyd is studying for his exams, and has no chance of raising the £4,000 needed to replace his bike in the near future.
As well as stealing the bike, the thieves broke into three buildings and caused damage estimated at £300. His previous bike was stolen in a similar incident two years ago.
Now Boyd is appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact Skipton Police on 01756 793377, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
