A former Keighley couple who emigrated Down Under over three decades ago have clocked up 60 years of marriage.
Jack and Hilda Pickles - now of Geelong, Victoria, Australia - will celebrate their diamond anniversary next Thursday.
They left their native Keighley in 1966, after living latterly in Lawnswood Road at Broomhill.
The couple - whose loves included dancing at the old Mechanics Institute - were married at Keighley Parish Church, now the Shared Church.
Before their marriage Hilda worked at Stell's paper tube manufacturer, and then at Peter Black's.
During the war Jack served in India with the Yorkshire and Lancashire Regiment.
The couple's son Trevor, daughter Rita and two grandsons also live in Australia.
