CRAFTY youngsters at Long Lee Primary School created their very own Easter eggstravaganza.
Arty pupils painted some cracking designs on hard boiled eggs, which were put on display in the school.
Classroom assistant Joan Gill, who organised the egg decorating, says: "Rather than doing just normal patterns the pupils have been basing their designs on different themes and using a lot of humour in their work.
"One of the pupils had their eggs skiing while another painted an egg as if it was sunbathing.
"They have put a lot of effort into it this year with some really imaginative designs, and we have had more entries than usual."
Children from the nursery class right up to Year Six entered colourful eggs in the competition.
And to reward their efforts the creative pupils were given a tasty chocolate egg each to enjoy over the Easter holidays.
Long Lee Primary School pupils show off their egg creations: from left, Jayne Sutcliffe, 11, Samantha Laidler, eight, Emma Streeter, nine and Mary-Jane Sollit, eight.
