YOUNGSTERS at Lees Primary School celebrated Easter with a parade of bright and brilliant bonnets.
Pupils put their thinking caps on and made a variety of colourful, and sometimes comic, Easter bonnets.
And school caretaker Matthew Pickard had the tough job of choosing the winners, who all received chocolate eggs.
Head teacher Jean Richards said: "The Easter hat parade has become an annual event and both the children and the parents have come up with some great ideas this year."
Charlotte Hamilton, Alfie Hird and Brandon Kennedy were chosen as the winners of the reception class and Key Stages One and Two respectively.
Parents at the school even got in on the act, with Simon Kennedy awarded first prize for his comic Easter egg creation.
