Bikers have bowled over local families with their generosity by taking part in an Easter egg run from Keighley to Bradford.

Nearly 300 bikers joined the White Rose Motorcycle Club's eggstravaganza on Sunday in aid of Gingerbread, an organisation that provides support for single parent families.

The riders set off from AMF Bowl at the Alston Retail Park, Keighley, and travelled in convoy through the Aire Valley to Centenary Square in Bradford.

When they reached their destination they gave their chocolate eggs to grateful parents.

The motorcycle club also raised around £700, which will be donated to Gingerbread.

Treasurer Linda Newsome says: "The day went brilliantly and we had glorious weather and a fabulous turn out.

"We had people from all over the district and riders from as far away as Scarborough, Newcastle and Manchester coming over especially.

"The club has been associated with Gingerbread for about 10 years and we continue to support it because it's such a worthwhile cause.

"We would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who helped us to organise the event and also turned up on the day."

Those taking part enjoyed entertainment in Centenary Square courtesy of the Bradford City cheerleaders, a DJ, as well as bands Silence, Scream Machine and U2 cover band Us4. There was also a bike show, Irish dancing demonstrations and a balloon race.
