BOCKING entertained Wilsden in what turned out to be a totally one-sided match.

The home team scored four goals in each half without reply. Dave Nelson, James Lee and David Bainbridge scored two each, there were solo goals from Mick Gilmartin and Garry Binns.

Bingley have almost certainly said goodbye to their chances of lifting the league title after slipping to defeat at the hands of New Variety Club. They will now have to concentrate of keeping runners-up spot, but looked like they were going on the championship trail after a bright start.

Bingley scored twice to hold a healthy 2-0 lead at the break, but shortly after the re-start Chris Walsh unleaded a 25-yard shot to put Variety Club on the scoresheet. The goal seemed to breathe new life into his team and Liam Jeffries scored a second to draw level.

Bingley were now on the back foot and a third goal from a corner put the Variety side into the lead. A scrambled goal near the end secured a 4-2 victory. Variety Club scorers were Craig Walsh, Liam Jeffries, John Baker and Martin Croake.

Honours were even at the break when BCA United played host to Silsden Athletic, each team having found the net once. After the break United stepped up a gear to score four more goals without replay. Chan Mih scored four goals while the fifth was slotted by Seraj Mih.

Long Lee and Shoulder of Mutton shared the goals and the points in a 1-1 draw. Sun-Oaklee beat Albert 2-0, but no detailed reports on the games were available.

After their sterling work the previous week against League leaders Bocking, the Fleece FC from Cullingworth, came back down to earth when they played Three Horses at Marley.

Both clubs had depleted teams due to injuries after playing four games in eight days and the game certainly had an end-of-season look to it. Three Horses were quickly into their stride scoring in the first five minutes, but Fleece equalised 15 minutes later with Allan Skayman on target.

Fleece created more scoring chances, but they could not add the final touch. In the second half Three Horses came back into the game scoring three times. Their third was the killer blow when the stand-in keeper - their fourth of the season - failed to hold a tame shot.

However, Fleece kept plugging away and they were rewarded with a second shot just before the final whistle through David Robinson. Scorers for Three Horses were Jamie Rowell, Anthony Godden and Simon Perryman.

There are no Alliance League matches over the Easter weekend.
