A popular read in a number of national newspapers used to be a Rat of the Week feature.

It normally highlighted an incident, or a person, worthy of the title. The old-style feature makes another guest appearance in the Keighley News as a fitting (printable) way to describe the person or persons who went to great trouble to steal the contents of a giant "penny jar" at the Manorlands Hospice.

When this crime is solved, and those behind it identified, we have reserved a place in the newspaper for the report and hopefully a picture. There will be no prizes for guessing the headline.
