Nicky Law reckons Bradford City have had the toughest season of any football club in England.

A host of Nationwide League sides have been in administration or are threatened with it since the game's financial bubble burst spectacularly.

But Law, pictured, believes nobody's problems approach the perilous scenario that the Bantams have had to live with. And he backed Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock's claims that promoted Leicester got off lightly.

Law said: "I've nothing against Micky Adams and Leicester but I think Neil was right. How can you go into administration and come out four weeks later?

"Leicester kept all their players and I don't remember them having to get rid of anybody. It's like closing the corner shop on Friday and opening it again the following Friday rid of all your debts.

"We sacked 60-odd staff and made all our players redundant at the end of the season and then asked them all to come back.

"There is no comparison. Nobody in any football club has gone through what we've had to.

"We as a club have tried to do it the right way. New people have come in and stood up and been counted, they have reached an agreement with the creditors and are going to pay them off.

"We nearly went to the wall, but we're still here and that's great testament to everybody at the club."
