Lightcliffe seamer Richard Tesseyman produced the season's best bowling figures of nine for 20 as his side skittled out Hartshead Moor for just 44 on Sunday.

And he was only denied all ten wickets by his brother Daniel who claimed the tenth wicket in Lightcliffe's seven-wicket win.

This isn't the first time that a bowler has been denied a clean sweep of a side's wickets by a sibling. Spen Victoria's John Wood was similarly thwarted by younger brother Ian against Brighouse in the 2001 season when he also took nine wickets.

The victory - Lightcliffe's third of the season - means they are the only team with a 100 per cent record and they head the table by a five-point margin.

They certainly don't seem to be suffering any blues after being relegated last season because they dismissed Drighlington for just 82 on Saturday with Lee Smith taking five for 14 in their five-wicket triumph.

Esholt, who beat Drighlington on Saturday to secure their second win of the season, came unstuck in a thriller against Salts. They went down by three runs as they chased a modest total of 144.

Salts are now joint second with Bradford & Bingley after a weekend in which they proved to be the masters of the close finish.

Numan Shabbir starred for Salts in their seven-run win over Morley. He made 44 and took six for 41 as the opposition were bowled out for 173.

The closest finish of all came at Roberts Park on Saturday when Bradford & Bingley defeated Saltaire by two runs ,despite being bowled out for 87. Experienced all-rounder Richard McCarthy captured five wickets and added three more 24 hours later when

his side defeated Brighouse by three wickets.

Saltaire recovered from their loss against Bradford & Bingley by inflicting a 91-run defeat on Great Horton. Saleem Bensafar led the way with an undefeated century.

Windhill's struggles continued as they were dismissed for just 40 by Keighley. Lee Spragg (6-23) was the main destroyer.
