Paul Deacon did not enjoy the 80 minutes of cup final football in Cardiff.
But the Bulls scrum half, whose second-half penalty separated the teams in the dramatic 22-20 victory over Leeds, loved every second of the celebration of his first Challenge Cup final victory.
"I didn't enjoy the game at all," said Deacon, who grabbed ten points and a vote for man of the match at the Millennium Stadium.
"I don't think we played very well and I don't enjoy it when we play like that. It was a hard, hard game and the finish couldn't have been closer.
"People were dead on their feet but we just battled on because we had to. I enjoyed the celebrations though."
Deacon was one of the stars as Bradford clinched their sixth Challenge Cup in an epic Yorkshire derby in the most dramatic fashion.
And after a day to sleep off their post-match celebrations, enjoyed both at a Cardiff Hotel and at a City Hall reception, the players returned to training today.
In three days they travel to the JJB Stadium to take on a Wigan side whose last victims were St Helens on Good Friday.
The Warriors, who were defeated in the Challenge Cup semi-final by Bradford, will be desperate for revenge and will see Bradford ripe for the picking after their exertions in Wales.
l The Junior Academy are playing Wakefield at 6.30pm at Cleckheaton Rugby Union Club today.
