A 17-year-old woman was dragged off a train by a man at Ben Rhydding and taken into the village before being released unharmed.
The teenager was travelling alone when she was pulled from a carriage by a man in a black woollen hat and black hooded top at Ben Rhydding station on Saturday.
She was forced to walk with him up Wheatley Lane, past the post office and towards the Wheatley pub, before being released.
The woman had been on a train from Bradford Forster Square to Ilkley which reached Ben Rhydding station at around 8.40pm.
Anyone who saw the incident or who was on the train is asked to telephone British Transport Police on 0800 405040.
