Teams are being sought to take part in a table football tournament in memory of a Shipley man.

Bryan Smith, of Windhill, was attacked on New Year's Day 2002 and died six days later.

A trophy was last year launched in his honour at the Shoulder of Mutton pub, in Otley Road, Baildon, and players are being urged to take part in the tournament again on Sunday, from 2pm.

Landlady Julie Brennan said the event will include a bouncy castle and barbecue.

"Bryan was well-known all over Shipley and Ilkley and he would regularly come in here," said Julie.

"He was a lovely man with a lot of friends and we hope many people will come along and remember him."

Anyone interested in taking part can contact Julie on (01274) 584071.
