A group of Pool-in-Wharfedale teenagers have spoken out against bus cuts which have left them unable to get to college.
The group of 'A' level students are headed by Nikki Dyer, 16, from Pool Bank New Road, who is disgusted with the way the cuts have been handled.
Now Nikki's mum Janet Dyer has started a petition and has vowed to do all that she can to reverse the decision by First Leeds to cut the X85 and 85 services which passed through Pool on the way to Leeds.
Nikki is studying for her 'A' Levels at Notre Dame College in Leeds and the buses were ideal for her and her friends to get there on time.
Now the group has to get a bus into Otley and wait for a bus direct to Leeds.
Nikki said: "I'm studying for my A levels and I have got exams soon, so it is going to be a nightmare getting to college.
"We will either be there far too early before college has even opened or be there late for classes and it could be exams.
"If we can't get to college, we can't do exams, it's that simple, and it is all because of the bus being cancelled.
