YOUNG Bradford City striker Danny Forrest crowned a superb season by making a substitute appearance for England Under-19s.
The Burley-in-Wharfedale 18 year-old has made a big impact since making his first team debut for City this season.
He scored in the 2-0 home win over Ispwich in that debut game and has not looked back since. He has made a string of appearances for City's first team since that day, often from the bench, but manager Nicky Law has named him in the starting line up for a number of games.
The youngster has become a firm favourite with the City crowd and he is currently a beacon of Bradford City's youth development scheme having been with the club from being a nine year-old.
The former Burley Juniors player made his debut for England Under-19s in the 3-2 defeat by Germany in Spiesen-Elvesberg. He came on as a substitute for the last 20 minutes of the game.
Danny said: "I could not believe I was representing my country. It was something I have always hoped might happen but even though I have got a lot of self-belief it was still a dream come true.
"I played wide right and managed to get in a couple of crosses but I would have played anywhere for England, even in goal if they had asked me."
Shirts with a number eight on must be a lucky omen for Danny, he wears 38 for City and was in no 18 for England.
