Going, going, gone will be heard all tomorrow as the hammer comes down at Debenham's on Manningham Lane, Bradford. The entire stock of over £200,000 worth of 270 model fur coats and jackets will be auctioned. And a second sale over the next two days is to clear the store of all the furnishings, display units, seating, office equipment, doors - everything that is now left in the store.

"There is work in textiles for anybody who wants it," said Mr C. F. Llanwarne, manager of the Bradford Employment Exchange, today. Bradford textile mills have 450 vacant jobs for full-time women workers in spinning, weaving, twisting, winding, roving and burling and mending. About 50 men are wanted in Bradford for the combing and other branches of the industry.
