IN Division B of the Airedale and Wharfedale League Bruce Percy made a welcome return for Rawdon.
He signalled his return with a knock of 57 from the number three spot as Rawdon forged a total of 224 for seven against Thackley. He had excellent support from Jamie Davey with 45 and Denis Rock with 38.
Thackley were 119 for four when rain stopped play with C Luxton unbeaten on 37.
Brendan Ryan hammered the Silsden bowlers to all parts of the ground in an innings of 93 not out.
Nick Murden was also in good form with the bat making 49 as Tong Park made a more than useful 211 for seven despite the efforts of New Zealander Darren Crook (4-52).
Silsden were 71 for five when rain stopped play with L Bilbrough having made an unbeaten 33. His colleagues had however struggled against the wily Mick Scott who had bagged three for 17.
Ilkley's batsmen never got to the crease in their game at Bardsey. The home side batted first and after 41 overs rain stopped play with them on 119 for seven.
They has struggled somewhat aginst Anthony Giles, who profuced a tidy spell of three for 30 off nine overs, and Richard Simp-son, who had taken two for 48 off 21 mean overs.
Darren Jayes also played his part with one for 28 off 11 overs.
The Bardsey innings was held together by a knock of 42 not out from S Bowes.
Pool were going well at 110 for two off 24 overs chasing Knares-borough's 195 for nine when rain stopped play. Opener J Pickles had made a half-century and number three S Carey 73 but the remainder of their colleagues found it hard going as Pool skipper Philip Dibb took four for 54 off 17 overs and the Australian Oliver Wilhelm two for 39 off 12 overs.
Richard Henry went for 18 but Richard Carlton was forging a useful innings with an unbeaten 53 when rain ended the game.
Some solid batting from Burley's Richard Brook (47), Nick Brook (45 no), Ian Frost (34) and Ian Normington (31) saw them to a more than useful 220 for eight at Calverley despite the efforts of P Valkovics (3-46).
Calverley were finding it hard going in reply against the bowling of Nick Brook (2-40 off 12 overs) amd Ian Normington (2-18 off nine overs) when rain stopped play with their score on 115 for four.
Their overseas player Vinal Krishna had made top score of 32.
Harden and Kirkstall Educat-ional also shared the points in a rain affected draw.
Batting first Harden made 173 all out with Kirkstall's G Gibson retgurning an excellent five for 20. Opener N Kettle top scored for Harden with 47 but there were useful contributions from R Verity (23), A Bairstow (21) and S Wood (21).
Kirkstall had faced only 16 overs when rain stopped play. They were 75 for one with opener S Harrison unbeaten on 43.
