Keighley were robbed by the rain as they were poised to take victory over Drighlington on Saturday.
Impressive bowling had shot oiut the visitors for 142 with Aussie Darren Docksey taking two wickets for 32 runs in a tight 16-over spell.
The reply was going well with Paul Wilkinson scoring 16 while Matthew Bottomley was undefeated on 40 and Steve Reape was 20 not out when the raain struck.
Keighley were 82-1 when they were forced to accept that there would be no more play and they had missed out on six points.
Their batting line-up ccould not click into gear in the Priestley Cup on Sunday with Gilliver taking five wickets as Keighley were dismissed for 135.
Opener Lee Gordon scored 35 and Stuart Ratcliffe was the next highest scorer on 22.
Gilliver followed up with an undefeated 58, but Idle did not have it all their own way as Keighley dug in and captured six wickets before the home side made progress into the second round of the competition.
n The club is running youth reams at Under-17, Under-15 and Under-13 level and will be holding coaching sessions each Friday evening. Children and parents are invited to attend. Coaching sessions start at 6.30pm.
