WHAT a contrast this season is to last year. After three league games we have three wins in the bag -- and two of them away from home.

Last year we only managed seven wins, and just one away result all season.

Obviously it is very early days yet and no one is swinging from the floodlights and getting carried away (apart from Mossy when the Clarets win) however, it is great to be winning -- now I just hope the Keighley public get behind us and enjoy the success.

Being local lads, Paul and myself are more than aware that Cougar fans have had more than their fair share of ups and downs over the last few seasons, but now I feel that the tide is turning for us again.

We are in a vicious circle, we need money to strengthen the squad and continue moving forward, but to get the finance we need the crowds to return to Cougar Park. For that to happen we need to produce a team that is successful and worth watching -- so far, so good this season.

The sparkling atmosphere of the good old days is returning and we'd love to see a big crowd down at Cougar Park on Sunday, see you there!

WE had our own version of WWF wrestling at training on Tuesday evening when we did a session on tackling technique. We should have sold tickets, it was certainly worth paying to watch.

Dave 'Pitbull' Foster, Danny 'The Undertaker' Ekis and Matty 'Small But Perfectly Formed' Firth were the star men as they threw everyone around Cougar Park.

I must admit I was surprised how Matty 'Jason Donovan' Steel managed to get thrown around with apparent ease until I was quietly informed that he was trying to avoid messing up his new hairstyle.

I never thought to suggest that Rammy could come to his rescue, because Jason's rarely without his bag of 'smellys' and hair gell -- think on next time Matt.

STUART CALVERT is on the mend after his latest injury, but he has a liking for 'fast food'. Paul Royston has banned him from all places with 'Mac' in their name (get my drift).

Paul would be very grateful for a tip off if anyone happens to spot Stuart within 100 yards of such an establishment -- it for your own good Stu!
