Robbie Paul praised his side's defence as they once again overcame the odds to take the spoils on a wet and wild night at Odsal.
The skipper (pictured) was delighted as the Bulls survived the first-half sending off of Leon Pryce to maul the Castleford Tigers 30-10.
Two tries in three minutes from Tevita Vaikona and scores from Paul Deacon and man of the match Joe Vagana ensured the Bulls grabbed their 10th straight win and maintained their 100 per cent home record.
"During the last three games it has been a pleasure to sit at the back and watch these guys defend," said Paul, continuing in his favoured full back role in the absence of injured Aussie Mick Withers.
"Our defence has been awesome. It is testament to the quality of the players in this championship-winning side that we can cope with only 12 players.
"That was another great performance and it pleases me greatly that we won this tough game in this way."
Pryce was dismissed for a late hit on his Great Britain international colleague Danny Orr after 31 minutes, having already set up two tries for Vaikona to give the Bulls a 14-6 lead.
But with only 12 players they still managed to gain a 16-4 advantage over Graham Steadman's men over the final 50 minutes and make up for the defeat they suffered at the Jungle last season.
Last night's match was marred by some inconsistent and pedantic refereeing by Steve Ganson, although Paul was circumspect in his criticism.
"I thought the referee had a good game," said the skipper diplomatically, despite having to protest to him on many occasions throughout the encounter.
"I am not one to criticise referees - although I am also not one to say good things about them."
Bulls coach Brian Noble, who is likely to be replaced by last night's opposite number in the Yorkshire job for the upcoming Origin game at Odsal, paid tribute to his team for overcoming adversity once more.
"I am delighted with them all," he said. "I thought Lesley (Vainikolo) was literally huge for us again and Tevita Vaikona seems to be firing on all cylinders."
l The freelance journalist who branded the Bulls "retards, cattle and whingers" in last week's Halifax programme has now personally apologised to the club.
A spokesman for Bradford has asked to "draw a veil over the matter".
