Two boys put blocks of concrete on railway lines because they wanted to see an accident, Bradford Juvenile Court hear yesterday. Mr. Michael Shepherd, prosecuting, alleged that, when one of the boys, aged 11, was asked whether he realised somebody could have been killed he replied: "Yes, the engine driver." He told a senior transport police officer that another boy had said it would be a good joke to see an accident.

Mr. Harold Day, chairman of the Bradford and District Theatre Guild told members at their annual meeting last night that there was still "in the dim background "the ultimate provision in the city of a theatre which would be regarded as the guild's property, where amateur societies would be able to stage their productions without going to considerable expense.
