A Yeadon IT firm has announced its merger with an American media company, in a bid to expand its sales team.
IT firm Logcom Solutions Ltd has now merged with MICG, a cross platform media company based in London and Texas.
The two companies aim to combine their common strengths, enterprise and vision to help them evolve into a complete IT solutions company.
Logcom believes the merger will increase the size of its sales force and expand the scope of a revolutionary in-house business management platform, the Logcom Matrix.
Philip Marcella, new chairman and chief executive of Logcom Ltd, said: "The merger creates improved margins which can be passed onto the group's existing clients in the form of reduced prices.
"Additionally, the merger gives us the ability to deliver value-added services to other prospective independent companies who wish to come in under the Logcom 'umbrella'.''
Logcom, a Hewlett Packard and Fujitsu-Siemens master re-seller based in Leeds, is recognised as one of the country's leading independent IT distributors and solution providers.
Over the past 14 years, it has accrued a client portfolio that includes the Ministry of Defence, the NHS and Lloyds TSB.
