Bulls' leading try-scorer Leon Pryce could face a lengthy ban for his Sunday sending-off against Castleford.

The stand-off appears before the RFL disciplinary committee at 5pm today after referee Steve Ganson dismissed him for a 31st-minute late challenge on Danny Orr during the 30-10 victory over the Tigers at Odsal.

But Pryce, who has bagged 13 tries in his 13 games this season, has form after picking up a four-match ban for a late hit on Kevin Sinfield during last year's fourth-round Challenge Cup defeat to Leeds Rhinos.

He was also fined £400 for the swinging arm - and after that incident an RFL spokesman said the suspension would have been longer but for Pryce's unblemished disciplinary record.

So if the authorities deem his challenge on Great Britain international colleague Orr is worthy of a ban - and there was a hint of a raised elbow in the incident - they could throw the book at Pryce.

With Michael Withers out for at least eight weeks with injury, any suspension would hit the Bulls hard with key games against derby rivals Leeds Rhinos and Hull coming up.

And with Stuart Cummings' judiciary looking to clamp down on all kinds of foul play this season, the fixture against Wigan in six weeks time may even be a doubt for Pryce if he is does pick up a suspension.

With skipper Robbie Paul excelling at full back, utility back Karl Pratt would be the favourite to fill in at stand off if the 21-year-old is banned.
