Spare a thought for Upper Wharfedale batsman Jason Agar.
He rattled up half centuries over the weekend against Horsforth in the league and holders Guiseley in the Waddilove Cup, only to finish a double loser.
Agar was his side's top scorer with 54 when Upper Wharfedale made 224 for five, but Horsforth were equal to the challenge, winning by five wickets, for their first success of the season.
On Sunday, Agar blasted 77 runs out of the Dalesmen's total of 131, but cup kings Guiseley romped to a ten-wicket victory, Howard Reeve making an unbeaten 98.
Guiseley suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday at home to Beckwithshaw who had all-rounder Ben Quick in top form. He took advantage of dropped catches to bat throughout the visitors' innings for 113. He followed up with 13 overs of leg spin which earned him five wickets for 55 runs.
Menston took over from Guiseley at the top of Division A after an 84-run triumph at home to Green Lane. David Lester (84) and Gary Thompson (36) put on 96 for the first wicket and there were other important contributions from Richard Burton (48 not out), Michael Brendankamp (35 not out) and Ned Taylor (37) before Martin Knowles produced 15 superb overs of seam bowling to take seven for 68.
Otley lost their first seven wickets cheaply at home to Follifoot, and despite recovering to make 185 with contributions of 80 from Andrew Burke and 51 by Mike Smith, they lost by seven wickets.
Paul Miller made an undefeated 115 for Follifoot who had the game's best bowler in Frankie Muncaz (six for 55). Barry Singleton spun Steeton to defeat, capturing five wickets for North Leeds, and Hall Park lost by eight wickets at Bilton. Park shot themselves in the foot by conceding 48 extras.
Silsden lead Division B by a point from Rawdon who are four points clear of Calverley, Kirkstall and Pool. Silsden were eight-wicket winners at Ilkley, John Akrigg leading the way with an undefeated 73 and Andrew Waggett hitting a welcome 40.
Andrew Cadman was Ilkley's top batsman with 43 and John Roberts marked his first appearance of the season by taking three Silsden wickets for 29 runs.
Rawdon, meanwhile, took five points from a winning draw at Tong Park with half centuries from skipper Craig Walsh and David Whittaker, Bruce Percy weighing in with 44.
Thackley piled up 262 runs at home to Calverley, but it wasn't enough as the visitors won by 25 runs. Peter Emerson and Gary Greenwood were unlucky losers after posting scores in the seventies. Paul Valkovics was Calverley's match-winner with 96 not out, J Hanson supporting well with an unbeaten 65.
Burley cruised to a ten-wicket triumph at Knaresborough where victorious skipper Nick Brook took five wickets. Richard Brook made 52 for Burley before pulling a hamstring and Chris Wheeler (45) and Ben Harris (41) then refused to be parted.
Pool speedster Oliver Wilhelm grabbed six wickets as his side sent Harden to a seven-wicket defeat.
However, Harden bounced back 24 hours later to knock Division A opponents Collingham out of the Waddilove Cup by two wickets, Rob Verity making 64.
