Youngsters at Wyke Manor School held an American-style Graduation ceremony and Prom to celebrate their achievements.
The event was for the Year 11 students, as many of them are leaving the school this year.
Students formed a special committee to plan the event.
A formal ceremony with students wearing traditional caps and gowns saw awards for achievement handed out by Andrew Barker, operation manager at CYTEC Industries, one of the school's partners.
Later students swapped academic dress for ball gowns for a Prom event at the Guide Post Hotel, Low Moor. Pictured are pupils Jane Hay, Daniel Stoker and Victoria O'Brien, all 16.
The students themselves had agreed months ago that only those meeting their targets for attendance, behaviour and academic work would be allowed to go.
To enable students to have a record of the day, a year book was compiled which acknowledges the help of those involved, including the A+ Action Zone and A H Marks for financial support.
