Talks on Government cash aid to save jobs in the Lucas Aerospace group are still going on, the Employment Secretary, Mr. Albert Booth, has told a West Yorkshire MP. As part of a rationalisation programme Lucas Aerospace intends to close a major plant in Liverpool, and transfer the Bradford-based design and development team to Hemel Hempstead, and phase out the Bradford and Shipley works.
