A new superintendent has been appointed to oversee operational policing across the Bradford North division. Supt Nigel Hibbert already has 24 years' service in the county, having worked at the Wakefield-based Operations Support Unit and the Dewsbury police division.
The 44-year-old said: "I'm very much looking forward to working in Bradford.
"This is a busy division and I'm enjoying getting to know the area.
"I was the Community Safety Chief Inspector for Kirklees and have always enjoyed good links with the community.
"I'm looking forward to continuing that style of working in conjunction with the community in the Bradford North area to solve any local problems which may arise."
And he added: "This is a bustling division with some excellent officers and exciting projects in the pipeline and I am looking forward to being a part of that."
Supt Hibbert replaces Superintendent Mark Whyman at Bradford North, who has taken on the role of divisional commander at Keighley.
