A guest list of television stars has been lined up for the Saltaire Festival in September, organisers announced last night.
Television antiques expert Eric Knowles will present a version of the Antiques Roadshow followed by a talk on Art Deco on September 15 at Victoria Hall, Saltaire.
And on September 17 poet and broadcaster Ian McMillan will put on a show called Alpacas of Saltaire with cartoonist Tony Husband.
The two-week festival will be held in Saltaire, from September 5 to 21, marking 150 years of Salts Mill and 200 years since the birth of its founder, Sir Titus Salt.
The event will cover seven main themes and will also celebrate Saltaire's World Heritage Status.
Saltaire Village Society announced a draft diary of events at a meeting aimed at recruiting volunteers to help plan and run the event.
For information visit the festival website, which will be up and running in the next fortnight at www.saltairefestival.co.uk.
