The Government's Budget recommendation that free school milk be supplied to children under 11 will not be considered by Bradford Educational Services Committee until the autumn. Mr.L.S.Beswick, chief adminstrative officer, emphasised that the award of milk will be a discretionary one and said that he could not anticipate the decision of the committee which will be made in September.

Coronation decorations in Kirkgate Market, Bradford, were torn down by workmen today after last night's fire which swept through six stalls and caused damage to the extent of hundreds of pounds. The outbreak, which was noticed at about 11 p.m. by three cleaners who had just returned for supper, after cleaning in Rawson Market, started in the American Milk Bar of Carrino's.
