A packed schedule of indoor and outdoor activities is planned for the Spring Bank Holiday in Bradford.

Among the attractions available around the district will be the Arbeau Dancers performing 17th century dance in period costume in the garden at East Riddlesden Hall on Bank Holiday Monday from 1pm to 4pm.

And a history detective trail will be staged at the hall on Wednesday, May 28. Activities will take place from noon and normal admission of £3.60 will be charged.

On Sunday, brass band concerts will be staged in Myrtle Park, Bingley, and Lister Park, Bradford.

And the fair will be returning to Peel Park, Undercliffe, Bradford, for the Spring Bank holiday. A new ride, the Mega Bounce, imported from Spain, will be featured, as well as waltzers, dodgems, a Giant Octupus and a Twister.

The fair opens today until Saturday, May 31, from 1.30pm apart from Sunday, when it will start at 2pm and Bank Holiday Monday when it will be open from noon.

Children carrying a teddy bear will travel free on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway on Bank Holiday Monday. For more information about the family fun day ring (01535) 645214.

At Asda in Manor Road, Shipley, there will be a Bank Holiday Monday fun day outside the store from 11am to 3pm. Weather permitting, there will be a barbecue, bouncy castle and dance troupe.

An Odd One Out activity week will be taking place at the Red House Museum in Gomersal, from Saturday until Sunday, June 4. Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult.
