Silsden Under-12s have had a superb ten-day spell of football following their victory in the Liam Daly Keighley & District Cup at Cougar Park.
The following Sunday they played Bingley Juniors in the League Cup quarter-final, winning on penalties after the match finished 2-2 in extra time. Then at Gargrave on Thursday evening they beat Embsay Wolves in the semi-final 3-2 with goals from Josh Toulmin, Sam Ash and Lee Walker.
On Sunday they played the final at Otley, once coming up against Long Lee, and emerged 3-1 victors. Penalty taker Jonjo Berry scored in the first half before Sam Rook equalised for Long Lee minutes into the second half. An excellent goal from Jake McEneany took Silsden back into the lead as they finished the stronger team with Josh Toulmin making sure of things with a 35-yard free kick in the final minutes.
The whole team played superb football in all four games and were a credit to the club.
