Oakworth Juniors recently took part in a tournament organised by Blackburn Rovers, playing at the club's Ewood Park stadium.

The Oaks entered four teams with everyone doing themselves proud. The day was particularly special for Daniel King who was spotted by the Rovers Scouts and has been signed to a junior contract by the club and he now trains with them once a week.

Last weekend the club held its club presentation event at Victoria Hall in Keighley with Wayne Jacobs of Bradford City presenting the trophies. Over 300 children and their parents took part with presentations from the junior soccer camp members up to Under-16s. There were also medals for members of the girls teams which range from Under-7s to Under-14s.

Earlier in the day the club's Under-15s, Under10s A and Under-10s B teams had taken part in the Shipley Tournament, winning their respective age groups. The Under-8s were runners-up and the Under-7s made thesemi-finals.

Under-9s manager Wayne Wilson was presented with the Clubman of the Year trophy
