Silsden Ladies hope they have secured survival in the Premier Division thanks to an end of season home win.
Their hard work paid off with a 2-1 victory over Norton thanks to goals from Vicky Ellis and Natasha Mulligan. Edna Smith received the match point after a strong performance in midfield. The result should ensure the team remain in the top division.
The squad is now on a short break before training resumes on Wednesday, June 4 at Silsden AFC's ground, newcomers will be welcome.
The club is continuing its successful junior girls football coaching throughout the summer.
With help from 'West Yorkshire Sport' they have been able to buy new equipment, including goalkeeper's gloves for the girls to use. The coaching night proved popular at Oakbank school and has now moved to Silsden AFC football ground for the summer months.
Girls of all abilities are invited to come along and join in the fun on Wednesdays from 6 - 7pm (cost £1). For further details contact Carrie Paley on 07798 744 676.
