Louise Holdsworth is bringing sweet memories back to Saltaire.
She has opened a new old-fashioned sweet shop - and customers are spoilt for choice by the cornucopia of candy on offer.
And the mother-of-two said her business in Queens Road, off Bingley Road, was a dream come true and literally a trip down memory lane.
Since childhood Louise, of Nab Wood, wanted to open her own sweet shop and recalled visits to the village's confectioner's, which was on the corner of Queens Road.
"As a little girl I would go to the sweet shop after Sunday school at St Peter's church and I always looked forward to it," said the 38-year-old former Inland Revenue officer.
"I used to love the penny tray which was full of gobstoppers, bubblies, Spangles and Jelly Tots."
Now she has recreated the traditional sweet shop at Holdsworth's Old Fashioned Sweet Shop and the shelves boast a colourful array of glass jars full of tempting treats from a bygone era.
The inviting assortment of goodies include acid drops, sherbet lemons, sherbet pips, coconut mushrooms, cinder toffee, Yorkshire mixtures, liquorice sticks, and lollies of all flavours under the sun.
Sweets are weighed in 100g portions and sold in little paper bags.
And customers are also served an old-fashioned welcome.
"I like to chat to people when they come in and ask them about their day," she said.
"Everyone is in such a rush these days and bigger shops have lost the personal touch and that's what I'm trying to recreate."
And she said she was given a warm welcome by shoppers.
"People are happy to see the old sweets again," she said.
"One man came in and bought all sorts of things to send over to his brother in America - he was so happy to see all the old favourites again."
Louise is also hoping to branch out and offer party bags, ice-cream tubs in the summer and traditional toys, such as yo-yos and spinning tops.
