Councillor John Ford has been reappointed as leader of Calderdale Council.

Councillor John Foran was appointed Deputy Leader.

Cabinet members appointed to special areas of responsibility were:

Councillor Bill Carpenter (Con), Schools and Children's Services; Councillor Graham Hall (Con), Corporate Services; Councillor Graham Reason (Con), Health and Social Care; Councillor Lorraine Stott (Con), Community Services; and Councillor John Hardy (Con), Regeneration and Development.

The following have been appointed chairmen of the Council's Scrutiny Panels:

Councillor Christine Bampton-Smith (Lib Dem), Community Services; Councillor Keith Watson (Lib Dem), Corporate Services; Councillor Janet Hardy (Con), Health and Social Care; Councillor Roger Taylor (Con), Regeneration and Development; and Councillor Mary Steward (Lib Dem), Schools and Children's Services.
