More than 300 names were on a petition handed to First Leeds about the controversial cancellation of a vital service between Pool-in-Wharfedale and Leeds.
Janet Dyer, who works in the village post office, launched the campaign after her daughter Nikki had trouble getting to college in Leeds.
Nikki, from Pool Bank New Road, is studying for her A' levels at Notre Dame College and she has complained about the axing of the X85 and 85 services which called through the village.
Now the teenager has to try to get a lift or get to the top of Old Pool Bank to catch a different bus. And as Nikki starts her exams, she is more worried about getting in to college on time.
Mrs Dyer said: "Nikki is really scared that she will be late and miss an exam.
"I have dropped her at the top before, but we are not as familiar with the other buses and things seem to have changed quite a lot that people are still struggling to get used to them.
"The other day I even took Nikki to Adel because the buses there leave every ten minutes or so to Leeds.
"When parents can't take the children all the way to Leeds it is a very difficult situation, especially at exam time."
Mrs Dyer added that she was pleased with the amount of names on the petition, but was not sure that it would make any difference.
She said: "I was impressed because the petition was just on the post office counter for a short while but there were a lot of unhappy people."
