A family fued erupted into violence at a Bradford pub when three brothers were stabbed and another man received minor injuries. In an incident at police headquarters a few hours later a young policewoman had her face slashed. The most seriously wounded brother, with an injury to his abdomen, is in Bradford Royal Infirmary where police are waiting to question him.

Fireworks displays in Bradford parks on Coronation Day will be half an hour earlier than announced, largely for the benefit of children, decided the Coronation sub-committee today. It was agreed that the displays should be at 10.15pm instead of 10.45pm so that children would not have to stay up quite as late to see them.
