THE Leeds and District Bowling Association's programme of team cup competitions continues on Friday, May 30, while the start of the Benton Cup and the Worsnop Cup.

Airedale and Wharfedale team Yeadon Park are involved with their game at Adel Bowling Club when they play Pudsey Park.

Wood Cup

The Yorkshire County Parks Wood Cup Competition starts on Friday, May 30. Local Airedale Wharfedale teams who have entered this year 's competition are Yeadon Park B, who play Salts B at Wharfemeadows; Northcliffe play Queensbury B at Knowles Park; Guiseley B play Cleckheaton at Eccleshill; Tarnfield play Spen Victoria B at Salts; Baildon B play Pudsey Britannia B at Horsforth Hall Park; Menston play Tyersal at Pudsey Ltd; Royd House, Myrtle Park B and Shipley Club C all have byes.

Inter-City Competition

This year's Inter-City Competition was held on the Airedale Wharfedale greens with the final at Shipley Club between Airedale Wharfedale and Bradford, the latter going on to win 8-4.

Leeds Ladies again beat Leeds Men in their match and Hebdon Royd after a three year's successful run lost this year at the pool stage.

In the Junior Inter-District match at Rufford Bowling Club on Saturday, May 24, Wharfedale lost 6-2 in their match against West Riding.
