IT was a dismal weekend for struggling Yeadon with defeats by both Farsley and Pudsey Congs over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Monday's defeat by the reigning champions was a bitter pill to swallow with Yeadon crashing out for a mere 33.
Congs showed ruthless efficiency in wrapping up their victory in just 26.2 overs. The match was all over by 3.15 pm and defeat leaves Yeadon rooted to the bottom of the table.
The Pakistani paceman Naveed Rana-ul-Hassan claimed a superb five for 19 and was backed up by Neil Gill's (4-10) as Yeadon were shot out in just 14.4 overs. Congs, seeking their fourth successive league title, took just 11.4 overs to knock off the runs but they did lose one wicket - Gary Brooke being caught by Yeadon skipper Grant Soames off the bowling of James Postill.
Butt with an unbeaten 18 and Carroll with an unbeaten 11 then saw Congs home.
John Roper bowled tidily enough with nought for 19 off six overs while Postill had one for 14 off 5.4 overs.
Yeadon had lost their first wicket with just seven runs on the board and it was all downhill after that. Four players were dismissed without scoring and no batsman got into double figures.
Jamie Kennaway had the title of top scorer with just seven runs to his name.
Yeadon are in desperate straights with their Indian overseas player not having materialised and the Henry brothers Jonny and Chris out through injury and a round the world trip.
Even with these three things would not look much brighter and Yeadon have a desperate struggle to get a win never mind enough points to maintain their Division One status.
On Saturday Yeadon were beaten by nine wickets at Farsley where their former all-rounder Iain Philliskirk made 56 before being bowled by Harvey Anderson.
The Scarborough man had shared an opening stand of 118 with Alex Blakeborough who made an unbeaten 63.
Yeadon had made 147 for six recovering somewhat after losing openers Anderson and James Todd with just 14 runs on the boards.
A fine 55 from Gulsharez Ahmed and 22 from Jamie Kennaway restored the balance somewhat and an unbeaten 27 from James Postill helped them to their total.
Former Rawdon bowler Craig Hitchenor claimed two for 36 off 18 overs.
Yeadon's second team game at home on Saturday was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
On Monday Yeadon seconds continued their winning ways with an easy ten wickets win over Drighlington who were dismissed for 95. Yeadon knocked off the runs with the in form Darren Machell making an unbeaten 63.
