Residents are campaigning to get an axed minibus service which was used by elderly people back on the road.
The service, which ran through Wrose, Shipley and Bradford, was re-routed by bus company, First, in April, because of traffic problems on Thornacre Crescent, Shipley.
But residents said about 150 households in Wrose have been left stranded without the bus service, which used to stop in the area about every half an hour.
Rob Porter, 37, of Spring Hill, Wrose, said re-routing the 845/846 service to Wrose Road has had an effect particularly on elderly people, who now have around a ten-minute walk to the nearest bus stop on Westfield Lane.
He said: "The bus company needs to take into consideration the number of elderly residents around here. Some of them have complained they feel a bit more isolated now.
"Part of Thornacre Crescent has off-road parking and I have been told that more is to be created soon, so then there wouldn't be a problem. And I have suggested alternatives to the route avoiding that road."
Mr Porter added there seemed to be no consultation with local people about the change to the service and leaflets notifying residents of the change appeared on buses only shortly before the rerouting took place.
Councillor Philip Thornton (Lab, Shipley East), who is backing the drive to reinstate the service, said: "As a result of the rerouting a lot of people are stranded.
"Around 70 people have written to me complaining about situation and I have put this to First.
"The reason for the alternative route is safety because of congestion on Thornacre Crescent, Shipley.
"I am arranging to meet a First representative and hope we can come to a compromise."
Khadim Hussain, operations director for First in Bradford, said the services were changed due to the narrow streets and parked cars in the Wrose area which occasionally made it difficult for vehicles to pass through the area.
Mr Hussain said: Our number one concern is for the safety of our passengers, drivers and other road users.
"Regrettably we had to take this course of action due to the congestion problems along some of the roads in Wrose.
"We would be prepared to consider reintroducing the service if the road conditions were conducive to safety and accessibility for our vehicles.
