The closure of Steeton Co-op had one reader delving into his archives and uncovering some photos from the shop's past.
David Shearing, from Halsteads Way, Steeton, found some slides he had taken of the shop in Station Road during the 1960s.
Says David: "The announcement that the store was closing jogged my memory because I remember taking photos of the shop's exterior.
"The man in the picture is Peter Walton, who I think was the manager at the time.
"He was well known in Keighley because of his involvement in amateur dramatics.
"There also used to be a very ornate sign in the window advertising grocery provisions, drapery, boots, clogs and shoes, but it has been boarded up with a piece of metal for quite a few years now.
"I've lived in Steeton most of my life and it will be sad to see the shop go."
