Young people from South Craven could hit the right note with organisers of a major music festival.
A 3,000-drum spectacular is planned as part of the youth festival being held in North Yorkshire this summer.
And people are being urged to take along drums or makeshift percussion instruments - even dustbins - to give the extravaganza a resounding boost.
The July 5 event is being co-ordinated by North Yorkshire County Council's Continuing Education Unit, through its Connecting Youth Culture (CYC) project.
Festival team member Alex Cromarty said: "We need anything you can hit for what will be the largest drum workshop certainly this county has ever seen.
"We are hoping to borrow as many drums as we can, but will also use anything we can get our hands on, including dustbins."
The team has already managed to recruit the help of session drummer Mike Dolbear, who runs a drummers' web site and has played with pop superstar Robbie Williams.
The festival was held for the first time last year and was a huge success.
But spokeswoman Charlie Toothill said this year's extravaganza was set to be bigger and better still.
The event, at Tadcaster Grammar School, starts at 10.30am and will feature musical acts, dance, arts and crafts, drama and workshops.
She said: "It's a celebration of what has been happening throughout the year with CYC, and all of the young people we have worked with coming together to showcase their talent.
"It's a real eye-opener for young people who have not had any contact with the arts."
