Steeton Primary School has been recognised for its achievements in art.
The school is one of 775 across the country to receive an Artsmark, which recognises schools that demonstrate a commitment to providing opportunities across all art forms from drama to music, design to literature, dance to sculpture.
The scheme also encourages schools to work in partnership with artists and arts organisations.
The awards are due to be announced today (Friday) by the Arts Council England.
Chris Newson, the headteacher of Steeton Primary School, said: "I am delighted that the Arts Council has recognised the school's progressive, well-balanced arts education programme which also enables pupils to work with local artists.
"We are successful in maintaining a balance of high academic achievement with arts and sports.
"There is a huge amount of arts activity going on here. For example, some pupils in every year group have worked with artists in residence.
"Others have been working with existing musicians, actors and dancers. A big thank you to all staff and for everyone's team work in achieving this award!"
Peter Hewitt, chief executive of Arts Council England, added: "Now in its third year, Artsmark continues to go from strength to strength. Our belief is that the arts have the power to transform lives, and that dynamic arts experiences offered by schools have a lasting impact on young people."
